Bracelet Day!

First I would like to show off my beadbox! xD

Of course, I have more beads than these, except I haven't used them. And thanks to Totchi's OCDness the greens and transparent whites are all sorted. I'm quite proud of my crystals though. I still have some peridots for a few bracelets, but now I wonder why I have so much violets?

Anyway, I completed three bracelets today. I think. I know I have five ready to sale sushi bead bracelets though. *hinthinthinthint*!!! There are three variants:

In the picture are two of them: pink/green and blue/purple. Another one is all green. Unsurprisingly, the green is quite popular. Though I would have to agree that pink and green go surprisingly well together. O.o hmmm.

The one I made for myself is blue/purple since these two colors are so underused, I thought I would use them myself. XD

Now I just need to find a way to insert our brand name Snackellery on them. Suggestions are welcomed! XDTa'ra!

The Weekend That Be

I think barfing is just like anal sex. It is unpleasant at first, but it gets better once you're used to it. Though I've never done the latter, the former is not a stranger to me.

Last Friday I flew home to Kuching to clean my room over the weekend. I even enlisted the help of my friend before I even confirmed my flight home. Yes, I was that determined to clean my room. I even got her a ten ringgit t-shirt while I was at it. Mind you, it was a nice ten ringgit t-shirt. Yes, I was that determined to clean my room.

I arrived just before noon and I slept the rest of the day till 7 pm when I was awoken by the prospect of a seafood dinner. My uncle also arrived in Kuching and promptly landed at our house. That night he had diarrhea and vomiting. He couldn't sleep till late. I thought "too bad" that is, until I actually got diarrhea myself the next day!

I didn't get it straight away. I was determined to clean my room you see, so I picked up my friend and we started clearing things. I started going to the toilet little by little and only had the biggest crap after lunch. I thought I would feel relieved afterwards but it only got worse! I was clearing the CD rack, sitting down, yet my whole body aches while my stomach broils with watery substance. Finally my friend suggested that I lie down on the bed. I did, and fell asleep.

During my nap, my friend took time off as well, browsing through my late works of arts and other short stories I, or one of my friends, had written (my bookshelf is a goldmine for such stories). I slept for approximately two hours. And when I woke up, expecting relief, I was greeted with a pounding headache. Dismayed I could only stare at the wall stupidly.

Now I have fever on top of diarrhea! GAAAAH!

There was no way I could even get out of the bed and help my friend help me clean my room! I told her I couldn't do anything, but we couldn't leave my room as it was either. So I laid there like a vegetable while she busted her ass cleaning my room. She is a very good girl, so I only did what I could - I praised her as she went along. Okay I did overexaggerate a little, but it doesn't mean I don't mean them. Though she did reply sarcastically that she believed me. Hmmmm.

When I was mumbling she told me to shut up. When I shut up she worried that I got too sick. So what am I supposed to do anyway!? When she was almost done with my room, and she's awesome since her nose is not impervious to dust like mine, I finally found the energy to remove myself from the bed and find some medicine.

I have never seen someone so dusty! - And my room so clean! xD

That night I was supposed to go out drinking with Totchi but I had to cancel since I was too sick to leave the house. Totchi is awesome too. It was really out of a whim that I asked her to take away Bing's smoothie for me and come pick up her hairband when she comes over. I wasn't expecting her to agree, really, but I really wanted the smoothie despite my condition and she seemed bored enough to do anything out of the ordinary. Totchi came later that night, bearing smoothie and prezzie.

Thanks again for the smoothie xD. Did I tell you you were awesome?

Despite it being an eventful day, I had trouble sleeping that night. One was because my body was torn between two condition, and two because I forgot to close my window and the alarm has already been set. My diarrhea likes the heat, but my fever craves the cold. At first I slept without the aircond on since my window is open. But I kept waking up in the middle of the night, hot and restless and with a pounding head. So I just decided "to hell with that!" and turned on the aircond anyway. Yes, the window was open. I know.

I woke up several times that morning, but only managed the motivation to move a little after noon. After which I gobbled down some satays just to fill my stomach before I take medicine again. My stomach does not feel diarrhea anymore, but it still aches, either from lack of food or something else, I don't know. But I was strong enough afterwards to tutor my cousin English. Usually it's my sister but she asked me to guest tutor the day before, but I was being a vegetable (she does tutoring Saturday and Sunday). So I tutored her about topic sentences. Her essays have a lot of ideas, but lacked grammar. She can work on her grammar with my sister, so I decided to focus on her strenghts; organising her ideas. The second part of tutoring was spent talking in English. It was something that she had never done before. I don't believe her teacher had bothered much about it at school, so I hope by talking about things she likes, in English, it would build up her confidence. I was glad to see towards the end of the lesson that she was talking more enthusiastically and was trying hard to find the right words to express her opinions xD.

I'm a great tutor.

I should do this more often. Hehe.

Ta'ra!

p/s Watashiwa-san, I am verily looking forward to cheese.

People Cannot Write

I just went through several of the industry reports the other groups did and came to one conclusion: These people cannot write. I mean, some of them even replaced the introduction by the executive summary!! And some people just don't know how to ask for favors at all. If you want other people to give you their report, YOU must offer up yours FIRST!!

That kind of stupidity is what made me avert from replying to their suggestions of this and that. Because they were just lip service because they themselves have no idea what to write in the next industry summary. I hope I taught them something when I myself fired an email asking them to answer only ONE question, to which I answered myself (even included a word count) so they know how to go about answering it, however long or short. I hope to receive at least some satisfactory reply. If not I'm going ahead with my own report.

I'm going home next weekend to clean my room. I can't stay long because I have class Monday night and my Japanese class only gets more and more complicated. I cannot miss anymore classes!

Ta'ra!

p/s Totchi: I needed to include your name somewhere in the post so I could use the 'totchi' tag just for the heck of it. You should be honored.

Watashiwa-san: Fabric business is going slowly, but it's only expected, since I'm not there to peddle it! But just another bump on the road as I ride my bandwagon. And yes, aren't I awesome? Hehehehe

I'm Awesome

I am awesome! I just did the part of four people on our report! Unfair, of course, but I'd rather that than have them handle it. They've been trying to sabotage this report since the beginning and even wanted to submit it the same morning it's due for submission! Idiots! They have no idea how determined I am! This is great, since whatever little work they've spent either worrying or actually working on it would be in vain. And I like nothing better than other people's work go useless because of their own stupidity. I have been cleaning after people's mess so many times it feels awesome when people mess themselves up!

Since I am on this path to greatness, I will not complain. Great people see things differently. Everything is a challenge and behind every challenge is an opportunity and behind every opportunity lies greatness. Yes, I just made it up, but it's still true nonetheless. My dad was surprised that I know that Tiger Woods had changed his swing three times. Of course I knew that. Tiger Woods is one of those great people who achieved world class status. His is a life worth paying attention to. Other people I pay attention to is Bill Gates, Michael Dell and Sam Walton. I don't care what people say about Trump. Michael Dell's net worth would enable him to buy 6 or 7 Trumps! Which easily makes Trump just one of many. And what's the point in being one of many?

Greatness. World Class. I think it's a goal worth pursuing don't you think?

Ta'ra!

PS. Hello Totchi.

Procrastinating, Elimination

According to Tim Ferris, the author of 'The 4-hour Work Week', the biggest myth about time management is ...time management itself! The key word is ELIMINATION, not manage more time. It simply means that you eliminate all the unnecessary things or activities and do the important things first. For someone who has too much free time like me, this is very useful. :/

Anyway, I'm writing a book! Then I'm gonna sell it and channel the money into my holiday funds! This is just the first step - I'm going to be writing more books in the future :D.

Why I'm so happy about this is because, just a few weeks ago I was so desperate to find myself a vocation. I don't care what kind of business I start - as long as I can set it up quickly and cheaply and start gaining experience from it. It doesn't matter if I ended up a failure! I would rather just start up and fail than not do anything! I looked through the craft section at the bookstore since they are so easy to do, and I read that the market for accessories sold online is expected to expand in the future, so why not? I even wished that I could draw half as good as Nadja because she made a killing selling her drawings at a convention in Oslo. Maybe I could do something like that too you know?

Sighs.

And then I realized...I'm good at writing. So why not write something? People make a killing selling self-help books online, even as complete amateurs. So why not me? And this is where my idea started from. The book was really just a joke. Some idea I texted off to Totchi when I was bored on a bus ride home from school. So far I am at a grand total of THREE pages into the book! Not bad, not bad :D. Though I have all the chapters outline. Great stuff, great stuff.

And my car is on the way. I shall call it Kurohime. Since it is black, and high-maintenance like a princess. Oh how shall I abuse it? XD

It Has Arriveth!!!

Let me tell you about today. I woke up early, in a good mood, took the train and bus to school and went to my morning class, where the lecturer liked me.

Then PMS kicked in, and I had to loosened my belt one hole behind and was hit by massive stomache. By lunch time I had to buy an emergency pack of Kotex and sort myself out. Trust me. This was not the first time.

Either way, first day period pains are not easily relieved by merely changing pads. Whatever those ads tell you, they lied. You can only relieve the pain by medicine and I, who have never tried menstrual pills before, decided today I desperately needed one to get through my afternoon class.

Just as I was making my way out of Jusco towards Guardian, I received a text that our afternoon class has been mercifully canceled. Just last night I was doing some self-checking and realized that I have over 96 of free hours a week and this afternoon off is going to add to that. I briefly thought of doing some shopping, and dropping by Times Square for my friend's errand. briefly. Then, my uterus started acting up and all thoughts of pleasure went out the window. I needed to rest. Badly.

I went to Guardian. And they were out of Panadol Menstruals. I cursed and walked away, waving goodbye to the mascaras.

I made my way to subway, and bought two sandwiches. One for lunch, the other for dinner, so I dont have to worry about it later. By then I was already in a prissy mood and my first victim was the guy serving me at Subway. I am not repentant.

The bus ride to KL was bumpy and terrible. Luckily it wasn't peak hours so I got two seat for myself. Unfortunately, the seat, the people and the whole bus stank, like how public transport always do and in addition to giving me a headache, it worsened my mood. I was already wondering if I could survive the train ride and short walk home.

Therefore, when i reached my stop, which was conveniently at the side of a main road, I hailed a cab. Five ringgit and five minutes later, I was home. Thinking of the slightest chance that the sundry shop in our apartment would have panadol menstruals, I went to the lobby instead of all the way up to the fourteenth floor. Out of curiousity, I stuck my hand into our mailbox and my palm struck gold.

Indeed, resting on top of our pile of mail, was this snug little package. The stamps are nice.

I pulled it out without effort and nearly squealed on the spot, like I did when I opened Totchi's raya card for me (Thanks, Totchi, btw. I really loved it. xD).

It was the DVD Watashiwa-san had sent me from Norway.

I examined the package and found that it had cleared Malaysian customs on Septemeber 25th, therefore it was possible that it reached me before I left home for raya, therefore the reason the guard didn't inform me of any packages arriving when I was gone was because it had already arrived before then.

Hmmm.

The package obviously had went through a hell of a trip, looking at the rip at the corners and how crumpled it was. Anyway, that doesn't matter. I am only interested in the content.

TA-DA!!!

My own, first, original Final Fantasy XII game!!!!!

You can see that, obviously, but I have been craving for this game for so long, I was numbed with happiness. This is the first original PS2 game I own. I had to kiss up to Watashiwa-san a lot to obtain this.

It is a Platinum version. Which is just a fancy way of saying a re-print of best-selling games. Watashiwa-san didn't really like the cheap-looking cover illustration, but I loved it either way. I have two fakes and they both suck. The disc gets stuck in different locations and when it does I have to replace it with the other. I finally gave up, even though I've gone quite far into the game. I don't like the suspence of anticipating when it would next just freeze.

Originals are really something. I didn't know all originals come with a booklet of manuals. Just very basic manuals. I have a few originals for PS1, one for PSP and one for PS2, and they all have booklets. It's pretty neat. They are all legitimate and stuff. After all, I don't feel good about 'stealing' from my favorite manufacturers.

Having this game in my grasp, I pulled Kujong out of his sleeping bag and plugged him in. I popped the DVD inside him and started playing. The downside of this was that it didn't recognize my previously saved data. Having no other choice, I played from the beginning. Which was awesome - nothing freezed! I did not mind replaying it because it had been over ten months since I last touched it. And besides, there were some items I wanted to find.

Afterwards, 6-hour++ straight of gaming ensued. I finally stopped after getting a terrible headache from staring at the screen too long. There is always tomorrow. xD I am so happy!

THANK YOU WATASHIWA-SAN!!!
I am swallowing that game whole. Now my life is complete. xD xD
Ta'ra!
p/s btw, if you were wondering, the sundry shop didn't have panadol menstrual and my stomach ache disappeared while I was immersed in the game. xD Kujong is great therapy.

Raya Eve 2

Like all raya eves, it was spent doing some hefty cleaning to prepare for our raya second day open house. None of us wanted to clean on the night of raya first day. We all wanna go out of course, so we really pushed ourselves tonight to avoid work tomorrow night.

Selamat Hari raya to you guys over in Norway as well!! I really missed having you guys around!

Ezra!! Ezra is back too! You! How dare you run away to Melbourne without telling me!

And Totchi, ima, ashita no ban, hima desu ka? xD

Our open house is second and third day. Second day is pretty hectic because it's our official open house. I'll get so burned out by the end of the day I can barely stand! Third day is usually an open day for friends only. So if you wanna avoid the crowd, come on the third day. We have non-traditional food that day. xD if you wanna come on both days that's fine too hahaha!

I will go out fourth day onwards. So if you have open houses I can crash or you want my lovely presence in your humble abode, please tell me! My crew and I will surely give you a visit! xD

After deciding which outfit to wear tomorrow, and solving my scarf crisis, I'm finally set for tomorrow. I wanted to buy some mascara tonight, but Guardian was out!! All the mascaras are gone!!!

We have now in our hands a mascara crisis.

sighs. Anybody has one I can borrow?

Selamat Hari Raya everyone!

Ta'ra!

:D

It's not that I was too sad to blog or anything. My connection kept being crappy on me. I guess paying late on purpose is not helping either.

Anyway, exams are over!

Last paper was on Friday. After that Khaye invited me over for lunch, which we ate about 4 hours later. sighs. Before I left that night, Khaye and Mary played with my veil. Much fun.

The next day we went to the zoo. Honestly speaking, it bored me out, but Khaye wanted to see tigers. The lions greeted her well. They raised their heads and stared in interest at her when we passed by. They can recognize people from back home it seems.

Yesterday, my dad came by for a surprise visit but ended up getting surprised himself - by the state of the house which would put a shipwreck to shame. He was not supposed to come and I was not supposed to clean. I was supposed to clean today. But I ended up cleaning yesterday, which frees up today to go shopping. Err wait, it's already 2 am, so today is Tuesday...I am going back to Kuching today. Oooh plans all lined up. In addition, the sponge promises to go out with me. And Totchi. But that is just a technicality. The sponge will go out with me.

I haven't packed and my flight is at 12:55 pm. I plan to leave at 10 am. It's no longer cool to leave home 2 hours before the flight. Even if you arrive with a one hour margin and fully acceptable for check in, the line will keep you occupied up to 15 mins before the flight which is not cool. I don't like waiting in lines and I want to eat. 2 hours should be fine since too early and the gate won't even open yet.

Today I got Sarah her birthday presents. In fact, coming back to Kuching, I seem to carry a lot of presents. Birthdays from February to July are all accumulated to this month. Birthdays from August to October will get prezzies in October and November and December in December. Jan I leave again for new sem and so on. Despite my lack of wrapping skills, I like wrapping them up. I even got myself a present; a 1000 pieces One Piece puzzle. I always wanted a really cool puzzle as a present. It would keep me crazy and occupied this holiday.

On another note, I am feeling like such a slave to my hair. I am tempted to go cut it the moment I reach Kuching. Straight to the saloon from the airport. My ying yang is balanced. Now if only I would get rid of all the excess hair.

I am suddenly very hungry. See you guys in Kuching. Ta'ra! :D

We Are LOVED!

Yes, we are loved people. Totchi and I. The sponge loves us. The sponge is good for our mental and emotional well-being. He will not run away and get a gf and leave us behind.
No.
We will make sure of it.
We are happy to be loved. Sponge will not leave us.
Totchi is drowned in her hate for men. All guys are crap. She has accepted the vacant mistress postion when we are 40 and unmarried. The sponge will prevail. Somehow.
It is nice to be loved. XD
And to check out the sponge in action, here is an artist's impression.

KAT-TUN is THE Hottest Band. Period.

From now on Oblong Corner will be where I endulge in my new-found fangirlism. My daily anecdotes shall be moved to another blog: The Hapless Scholar, where I help you on how to lead a better life!

KAT-TUN is so hot. The name KAT-TUN is the initials of the members. Kamenashi, Akanishi, Taguchi, Tanaka, Ueda, Nakamaru. Pretty creative eh??

All the members are so hot they are practically professional gigolos. Their voice is awesome and they never sing out of tune. Never would you hear me say they sound like six different people being forced to sing together. Never I tell you.

I especially like their latest single LIPS. It is hot. The PV is hot and Ueda is even hotter. These are the general snapshots of the PV. Look at them, whoring the microphones.
Yeah, do your thing, Koki.
Let me introduce the members one by one. This is Kame. He is the ultimate attention whore. About 50% of the PV is dedicated to him. I can just imagine all the fangirls screaming with lust whenever he came on the screen. Totchi said he is like a crocodile. I agree. I therefore vote Kame as no.1 man-whore.

I bet you wish you were that mic.
This is Jin. Kame is his bitch. There's a thing between them. Together they are paired as Akame, from Akanishi Jin and Kamenashi Kazuya put together. Groovy. Kame likes it rough. Jin must be rough to satisfy Kame then. This is Koki. He is a gangsta wannabe. He sticks out among the other whores. But he is a slutty gangsta, so I suppose he doesn't stick out that much. The element of sluttiness must be maintained at all costs I tell you. This is Junno. He reminds me too much of F4's Jerry so he is the least in my favorite list. He can act though, but I have yet seen him in Yukan Club. Though I am not liking that platinum blond hair already... Next, Nakamaru. This is Totchi's favorite. He can...beatbox and make....sounds. He is actually cool. Not as slutty as the others. But still, whoring and sluttying comes with being the N in KAT-TUN, so...yeah.And finally, my favourite one of all, UEDA-hime! Doesn't he just look so gorgeous? According to Totchi, Ueda had never starred in any dramas like the others. He is the silent one at the back who, in my imagination, is the one everyone is protective of cause he is so fragile and princessy. xD
Oh yeah~ work that mic baby~!

I am going to start a shrine site for these gorgeous boys and worship their sluttiness everyday. KAT-TUN lovin' forever baby! Don't you dare diss my KAT-TUN you hear? If I hear any of your guys give a shit about KAT-TUN and say bad things about them, I will come to your bedside at night and stab you to death! Don't try me. I know where you live!
Ta'ra!

Stupidity At Its Best!

I have mentioned this blog post of Totchi's before. It's where some rabid KAT-TUN fans suddenly come out of whatever hole they live in and gave her death threats.

But something even more amusing have come up in that post and gosh...we milked that thing to the core.

This, my friend, is the type of people clogging our national universities. Exactly why the NEP should go clean my toilet.

Translations were provided by yours truly. Now go and have some fun XD. You will be fucking amused you won't be able to breath I tell you...
