Work and School Cannot Compete

Lynn: Yes, sucks to be them. And looking at the way they were going, it would have taken them half the night just trying to get back on track, hah! When confronting people like that I learned to be a snob too. An educated snob.

I've told Big Sister that I can only work 3 days starting April til July because I have to concentrate on my thesis. I'm already going at a one chapter per week mode. Considering I worked 4 days I say I'm quite awesome!

Self-gloating aside, I am praying/hoping that I can finish 80% of the thesis before the fasting month. So at least by August I can go back to working 5 days. My financials are getting weak T_T. But whatever it is I am determined to go on the snorkelling trip to Redang this year! I've been saying next year, next year, and I never got there. Can't wait for people. If you want something, you've got to make it happen yourself I say. Just like how I wanna make myself a millionaire. xD

So today was Earth Hour. Since KLCC is participating, so is Kinokuniya. I looked forward to it until I heard that while we turn off the unnecessary spotlights in the store, some of the lights inside the pantry and logistics area are going to be off too. AND I WAS SENT INSIDE FOR WRAPPING! I didn't wanna spend wrapping in the dark! So I wrapped like mad, having given the task of completing two trolleys of comics to finish by tonight. Under normal circumstances, I am lucky to be able to cut and shrink one whole trolley and maybe just cut the other trolley. But because some of the logistics staff were staying back for OT, they helped me cut while I just focused on shrinking. The result: 2 complete trolleys a minute before Earth hour! 'I' have done the impossible!

Actually, I've managed to pull off these 'miracles' mostly because I had to bribe or ask for favor or had help from other part-timers/logistic staff/anyone I can get my hands on i.e. cleaners. But of course, Big Sister and other superiors do not need to know this xD. It's not possible for other people to achieve this because they do not have the resources (persuasion techniques) I have xD. Of course, the bad news is, when they next assign me a similar task and I couldn't achieve due to lack of resources i.e people to extort, my stock went down and I was labeled slow again.

But never mind! I am awesome. Awesome people can always find ways to thrive!
