It Has Arriveth!!!

Let me tell you about today. I woke up early, in a good mood, took the train and bus to school and went to my morning class, where the lecturer liked me.

Then PMS kicked in, and I had to loosened my belt one hole behind and was hit by massive stomache. By lunch time I had to buy an emergency pack of Kotex and sort myself out. Trust me. This was not the first time.

Either way, first day period pains are not easily relieved by merely changing pads. Whatever those ads tell you, they lied. You can only relieve the pain by medicine and I, who have never tried menstrual pills before, decided today I desperately needed one to get through my afternoon class.

Just as I was making my way out of Jusco towards Guardian, I received a text that our afternoon class has been mercifully canceled. Just last night I was doing some self-checking and realized that I have over 96 of free hours a week and this afternoon off is going to add to that. I briefly thought of doing some shopping, and dropping by Times Square for my friend's errand. briefly. Then, my uterus started acting up and all thoughts of pleasure went out the window. I needed to rest. Badly.

I went to Guardian. And they were out of Panadol Menstruals. I cursed and walked away, waving goodbye to the mascaras.

I made my way to subway, and bought two sandwiches. One for lunch, the other for dinner, so I dont have to worry about it later. By then I was already in a prissy mood and my first victim was the guy serving me at Subway. I am not repentant.

The bus ride to KL was bumpy and terrible. Luckily it wasn't peak hours so I got two seat for myself. Unfortunately, the seat, the people and the whole bus stank, like how public transport always do and in addition to giving me a headache, it worsened my mood. I was already wondering if I could survive the train ride and short walk home.

Therefore, when i reached my stop, which was conveniently at the side of a main road, I hailed a cab. Five ringgit and five minutes later, I was home. Thinking of the slightest chance that the sundry shop in our apartment would have panadol menstruals, I went to the lobby instead of all the way up to the fourteenth floor. Out of curiousity, I stuck my hand into our mailbox and my palm struck gold.

Indeed, resting on top of our pile of mail, was this snug little package. The stamps are nice.

I pulled it out without effort and nearly squealed on the spot, like I did when I opened Totchi's raya card for me (Thanks, Totchi, btw. I really loved it. xD).

It was the DVD Watashiwa-san had sent me from Norway.

I examined the package and found that it had cleared Malaysian customs on Septemeber 25th, therefore it was possible that it reached me before I left home for raya, therefore the reason the guard didn't inform me of any packages arriving when I was gone was because it had already arrived before then.

Hmmm.

The package obviously had went through a hell of a trip, looking at the rip at the corners and how crumpled it was. Anyway, that doesn't matter. I am only interested in the content.

My own, first, original Final Fantasy XII game!!!!!

You can see that, obviously, but I have been craving for this game for so long, I was numbed with happiness. This is the first original PS2 game I own. I had to kiss up to Watashiwa-san a lot to obtain this.

It is a Platinum version. Which is just a fancy way of saying a re-print of best-selling games. Watashiwa-san didn't really like the cheap-looking cover illustration, but I loved it either way. I have two fakes and they both suck. The disc gets stuck in different locations and when it does I have to replace it with the other. I finally gave up, even though I've gone quite far into the game. I don't like the suspence of anticipating when it would next just freeze.

Originals are really something. I didn't know all originals come with a booklet of manuals. Just very basic manuals. I have a few originals for PS1, one for PSP and one for PS2, and they all have booklets. It's pretty neat. They are all legitimate and stuff. After all, I don't feel good about 'stealing' from my favorite manufacturers.

Having this game in my grasp, I pulled Kujong out of his sleeping bag and plugged him in. I popped the DVD inside him and started playing. The downside of this was that it didn't recognize my previously saved data. Having no other choice, I played from the beginning. Which was awesome - nothing freezed! I did not mind replaying it because it had been over ten months since I last touched it. And besides, there were some items I wanted to find.

Afterwards, 6-hour++ straight of gaming ensued. I finally stopped after getting a terrible headache from staring at the screen too long. There is always tomorrow. xD I am so happy!

I am swallowing that game whole. Now my life is complete. xD xD

p/s btw, if you were wondering, the sundry shop didn't have panadol menstrual and my stomach ache disappeared while I was immersed in the game. xD Kujong is great therapy.

Crisis over Crisis Core: FFVII

I played through the story battle of Tekken Dark Resurrection last night and guess what!? The character's ending movie wouldn't load!!

Waaaarkkhhh!!!! I am sooo pissedd!!!!!

And this wasn't the first time this happened too. The same happened with my copy of Tales of Eternia. The movie sequence wouldn't load. Now I'm so glad I bought an original UMD for FFT. And for this reason, I shall buy UMD for Crisis Core too. I don't care how much it costs. If the Malaysian vendors don't have it, I will cross the border to Singapore if I have to!

Yes, I am that determined!

Anyway.

Last Sunday Me and Nadja went PSP a-shopping!

Two PSPs joined our ranks that day!

A purple, and a white one. Mull should have joined this 'reunion' but I accidentally left him at home. To compensate I bought a new 2GB memory stick with some games stuffed in. Intended to buy a 4GB at first, but the 2GB was cheaper.

The pink one has a name, Vyers. A full review is available in his mistress's blog XD.

It's amusing to take pictures of people taking pictures of each other.

On to a more recent event - yesterday, one group did a presentation during class and awarded people who could answer their questions with prizes. The previous group only gave a mini pen away, which I got one. But this group's prize was quite big.

Behold.

Yes, I was impressed at how big it was, especially for a classroom quiz. Since it seemed quite soft, we thought it was something like a teddy bear, since all the remaining classmates were girls, and the presentating group comprised of all the guys in class.

And then, our team won it. Overwhelmed with curiosity, I excitedly tore it open.

And guess what's inside.A Gardenia bread!

Sighs.

Just too bad I don't eat white bread though.

Crisis Core

I am super excited. Crisis Core is going to be in English and will be released March 25th. XD

It is moments like this that made me fall madly in love with Mull again. It is a good time to own a PSP. In fact, I would even buy a PSP just to play Crisis Core. However, FFT beat Crisis Core to it. Still, I am happy. I've previously lost hope on it because I thought it was only going to be in Japanese. But no, I shall get it. And stuff it into my first memory stick. XD

WAAAAAAAHHHH SOOO HAPPPPYYYY!!!!!

I am seriously is not a fan of multiplayer RPG. I believe RPGs are a one-player personal experience. And to just share it with others is just...wrong.

Anyway, am sooo looking forward to this game!

Sighs. If only they would have Genso Suikoden I and II would also be in English.

Freaking Good Holiday

I GOT A PSP! It's 'felicia blue' and his name is Mull. This has been my only target purchase in Singapore. I have been saving my money for this thing and finally on the last day, I got it!! This is Mull with his family. I got the pouch and earpiece in KL though. It was a pretty darn expensive earphones too. Karol convinced me branded ones are well worth the price so since I plan to play Mull on the plane ride home I decided to get one. You can also see the extra battery in the background. That battery lasts for up to 10 hours++ (I think). And a lucky thing I got that in Singapore. The longest battery life I could find in KL was 7 hours. And even then it was crap. The salesman 'warned' me that I won't be able to cover the battery lid back if I insert a battery of any bigger size. But honestly I don't care. It's not like you see the battery at the back anyway. Consider the extra battery as a cooler pad for your laptop. Your lappy will work just fine without them, but with it, it's 'supposed' to last longer.

And of course, an original first game! It would be accurate to say that I bought a PSP just to play this game. The salesman, whose name is Ash, or Ashley tried to convince me to get a 4 GB memory card and he'll add 10 free games inside for me. Including FFT. But you know, I refused the offer because I just wanted FFT and nothing else? Some would call it stupid, but I honestly do not plan to clog my memory stick with games. My PSP is modified, but I decided to buy the games that I really want. Tthere's a pride to be had when owning an original game XD.

Singapore was shopping haven. I mostly visited stores of the brands I normally go in KL because their Singapore selections are different. All the while, we are flagged by Japanese students in almost every mall, especially DFS Galleria, a big mall just for duty free goods and souvenirs. It's not enough that they conquer the whole of our hotel floor, they have to be EVERYWHERE too! In the hotel floor we stayed, except for our two rooms, all the others are occupied by Jap students and their teachers.

A few are fine, but when you get overwhelmed by them in the lifts it does get kinda intimidating.

Anyway, we returned last Friday and tomorrow I'll be going home - FINALLY! Am getting a little bored of shopping malls now, but for some reason, I can't stop spending! XD I still need to get a strap for Mull.

When I get home I shall celebrate christmas with chocolates, DVDs, and games. Ha~ I can't wait!

p/s yesterday I saw the Power Rangers fighting against some evil villains in Sungei Wang. It was pretty cool how they went in formation hahaha!
