Wasn't Me, Honest!

Last night, when I was on the bus on my way home from work, a couple of girls (probably Finnish, if not then just Scandinavian) asked me about how to get to Jalan Tong Shin as the bus was on its way to Bukit Bintang. I told her I was more or less going the same way so I'll just show them. Actually, only one of the girl approached me. Her friend just stuck up her nose and pretended she didn't see me. Pfft. Snob.

So we got off the bus at the station not far from Istana Hotel. I told her to go down that road *points to Jalan Nagasari right beside the hotel* and - before I even finished explaining, she interrupted me to point out where we were on the map. Her friend was already some ways away, staying away as if I had a contagious disease. The map was upside down and it took me a while to point out where we were, but then again I neglected to inform her EXACTLY where we were, because WE WERE GOING THE SAME WAY SO JUST FOLLOW ME DAMNIT I WON'T MUG YOU AND I WON'T ASK FOR MONEY RAWR!

But of course, I politely said that I was going the same way but she insisted that I pointed her out in the map. Our exact location was actually off the map, and again I showed her the route to Jalan Tong Shin. After that she said Thank you! AND WENT OFF A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DIRECTION!

I wanted to call out to her, but her friend was already on the pavement directly across from Istana Hotel and I stood there for a while, watching as they made their way to Pavilion. I sighed inwardly, worried and insulted and just shook my head. Well, snobs lose their way. I hope they get horribly lost!

Seriously, what was with that fiend's attitude!? Do I look so impoverished that I need to stick with them and asked for money? SERIOUSLY!? MY BAG IS WORTH 500 RINGGIT (before discount) OKAY?!

This isn't the first time I got asked for directions, living in the tourist district and all. Just this weekend, a couple of middle-aged American women asked me for directions too. They came to the bookstore looking for maps and although they did buy a map, I drew them a map to Jalan Alor because they wanted to eat some hawker foods. And I drew the map all the way from KLCC to Jalan Alor. Ppfft! I even taught them how to get a cab from KLCC. Mind you, even locals don't know that!

I'm so proud of myself. xD

Anyway, we still have five sushi charm bracelet for sale over at our Snackellery Blog, plus a liquid clay review! PLEASE (I beg you) check it out!

Happy Things

I thought it'd be bad leaving such a sad (literally) post as my latest entry for too long. So here's something different. Thank you for the two guys who left the comments. Check them out if you're so inclined, my dear readers (I know a low of you guys don't admit that you read my blog, but that's okay hehehe).

And to proof that not all men I met are weird, just the other day, as I left work early I went to Choc Boutique at the concourse floor of KLCC to get myself a Bourneville almond choco bar FINALLY, I have had to stay away from this guilty pleasure for too long due to my post-chicken pox pantang. Ever since then I've had at least one whole chocolate bar a day. Anyway, back to my visit to the Choc Boutique.

So as I was paying, the manager was at the counter, counting the day's sale. He looked down at me (it was a raised counter), and asked if I live at *name of apartment*. I said yes, and made an exagerrated surprised reaction, as I just realized I was giving this information to a stranger. So I asked him how he knew. He said he lived in the same building and reminded me that he met "you and abang" (I clarified that that was my father and his name is also Abang (meaning brother in Malay), although I wasnt sure if he introduced himself that night, and when he does, he always introduces himself as Abang or sometimes Rahman) in the lift and he lived on the 13th floor below us. It took me a minute to remember who he was, and if I wasn't mistaken he was Bangladeshi/Myanmar/Pakistan or something to that effect and has been living in the country for 8 years, working for Famous Amos's chocolate division. Turned out he manages the Choc Boutique chain belonging to Famous Amos. And I thought he just supplies Famous Amos with chocolates!

I told him I work at Kinokuniya and then he gave me a free box of Almond Tuiles! Whee! I didn't take a picture of it, but here's one I found online.

Source A Vietnamese site...

I was so happy because I was so hungry and the day was boring and crap, only to have a free snack at the end of the day! Life is fair again! xD

And here I thought I only attract weird men.

So anyway, what would YOU do if something like THIS crawled up your leg?

And not just one, but two of them? Would you...
a) Relocate it to somewhere safe like outside
b) Relocate it from your leg to the floor then squish it
c) Relocate it from your leg to the floor then jazz it with a cow prod

Someone actually got one on his leg, slapped it to the floor and accidently squished it (eew). The second one got away, photographed and went about safely outside. But seriously, IT'S ONE HUMONGOUS SPIDER! D: If it were me, I'd screamed, kick my legs and head straight for the broom.

It's called a huntsman spider, and is apparently quite common in Australia. *shudders*

On to something more commercial. Snackellery finally has its own blog! YAY! I have post up five bracelets up for sale in Malaysian Ringgit only. There are only five of these sushi charm bracelets for now, so if you want, better grab them quick! I don't know when I'll have time to make anymore soon. Here's a sample.

They basically look like this, all 92.5 Malaysian silver; the best grade of silver around, quality assured. And look, even Balthier approves!!
He is Snackellery's exclusive model, and he even has some things to say about it! So, be sure to check out the Snackellery blog and err, buy stuff!

On Hold

For now, until I finish my classes, Snackellery is ON HOLD. I can't even be bothered to make a paid sample because I won't be able to cope with the consequent orders! And you know it takes a lot for me refuse money when it's offered like that, considering how greedy I am. But this is life. And this is how my current reality is. I am so sorry to disappoint my fans, but until then, here's a snippet on what I had done last. xD

Just so you know that I havent been not doing anything!

Bracelet Day!

First I would like to show off my beadbox! xD

Of course, I have more beads than these, except I haven't used them. And thanks to Totchi's OCDness the greens and transparent whites are all sorted. I'm quite proud of my crystals though. I still have some peridots for a few bracelets, but now I wonder why I have so much violets?

Anyway, I completed three bracelets today. I think. I know I have five ready to sale sushi bead bracelets though. *hinthinthinthint*!!! There are three variants:

In the picture are two of them: pink/green and blue/purple. Another one is all green. Unsurprisingly, the green is quite popular. Though I would have to agree that pink and green go surprisingly well together. O.o hmmm.

The one I made for myself is blue/purple since these two colors are so underused, I thought I would use them myself. XD

Now I just need to find a way to insert our brand name Snackellery on them. Suggestions are welcomed! XDTa'ra!
